Black Oxford: the history of an apple, a county, a state and the world. An Evening With John Bunker
A hundred and fifty years ago, there were many thousands of apple varieties being grown across America. Most were locally grown and often unknown even in the next county. Black Oxford was one that originated in Paris, Maine and became popular throughout the central and southern part of the state. From this one apple, we can learn much about the world, the state, the county and even ourselves.
