Delivering the best customer experience is key to winning customer loyalty. Frontline professionals are the people who deliver that customer experience. This training workshop will use a focus on people with disabilities to help frontline staff be more aware of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and recognize unconscious and implicit biases towards people who are different from them. Increasing guest satisfaction and providing top quality customer service is the end goal!

Workshop Presenters
Valentini Kalargyrou, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Hospitality Management in the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire. She had teaching appointments in the US, Austria, and Singapore. Her primary research focus is on disability issues in the workplace and service operations, with an emphasis on employers? perspectives; the business case of employing people with disabilities; and customer attitudes and perceptions when served by employees with disabilities. Dr. Kalargyrou served in leadership positions as an entrepreneur and was in the opening teams of integrated resorts and a three-star Michelin restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Enock Glidden - Born with Spina Bifida, Enock Glidden is a disabled athlete, adventurer, motivational speaker and an advocate for others with disabilities. Enock lives in Albany Township and inspires people of all abilities to expand their horizons and tap into their inner adventurer.
This workshop is presented as part of the Mahoosuc Way Sustainable Tourism Initiative.
