Japanese Timber Frame Workshop 2024: Building a Sawmill Shrine
Master Japanese Carpenter Kohei Yamamoto will lead a 6 day timber framing intensive where you and up to 15 others will fabricate and raise a large enclosure for our sawmill; what we like to call the “sawmill shrine.” Learn Japanese timber framing skills, joinery, layout, chisel and sawing skills and the team work required to assemble a massive timber frame structure. Consider this as both a springboard into the world of timber framing as well as a great period of training to further hone your skills.
