Make a Sphere from a Stone at the Maine Mineral & Gem Museum
As Bethel’s Summerfest heats up, come cool down and learn about the art and craft of sphere-making with MMGM’s Studio Manager and sphere-maker, Martin Roberts.
Martin creates spheres using metamorphic, sedimentary, and igneous rocks, utilizing specialized lapidary equipment.
On Saturday, July 20th, Martin will be onsite holding sphere-making demonstrations, and answering questions on the process of turning stone into art.
