Night at the Movies with the MMGM and BAAM!
Join the MMGM and BAAM at The Gem Theater for a night of adventure (with some science thrown in) on July 17th! Volcanologist Dr. Karen Webber of the research group MP2* will be giving a short talk on the geology featured in the 2008 version of Journey to the Center of the Earth! Doors open at 5:30 pm with Dr. Webber speaking at 6 pm and the movie will show at 6:30 pm.
Journey to the Center of the Earth is rated PG and runs for 133 minutes. Ticket price is pay as you can with proceeds going to both the MMGM and BAAM!
*The MP2 Research Laboratory houses instrumentation that provides the foundation for active mineralogical research, and opportunities for scientific investigation, analysis, and publication.
