Join us at The Gem on Saturday, May 10th, for the Women's Adventure Film Tour 2025 at 6:30pm. Doors will open at 5:30pm for food & drink. It's the day before Mother's Day and so we encourage you to make this an outing with your mom! We are so excited to host this event and welcome you! How many women can we get to gather in one place to share their love of the outdoors and adventure?
Before we settle in for a relaxing evening, let's get outside to share a local adventure of own!
Let's join Maine Adaptive at Mahoosuc Land Trust's Valentine Farm for a Roll & Stroll!
3:30pm: Please come enjoy a free fun and inclusive afternoon on the trails to celebrate Mother’s Day, women in sports, and the Women’s Adventure Film Tour. We'll roll, stroll, and explore the accessible trails at Valentine Farm together—whether you’re walking, riding a bike, using a wheelchair or adaptive bike, or just enjoying the fresh air. Those on mountain bikes are welcome to split off and ride the extended trails beyond the main loop.
All ages and abilities are welcome. Adaptive equipment and support will be available. Light snacks provided.
5:30pm: Social Hour & Women's Adventure Slideshow in Gem Lobby, followed by Maine Adaptive's short film "Chasing Freedom" in Theater 1.
6:30pm: The Women’s Adventure Film Tour 2025 will present a thrilling selection of films that span extreme sports, personal journeys, and boundary-pushing storytelling from across the globe. This year’s program highlights the resilience and creativity of individuals navigating the challenges of both the outer world and their own inner landscapes.
We are thrilled to present a program that brings together incredible stories of courage, adventure, and self-discovery. These films represent the spirit of perseverance and the power of women in the outdoors to inspire, entertain, and spark important conversations.

Social Hour Women Adventuring Slideshow: We'd love to make a local women adventuring slide show for the social hour! Women of the Bethel area, can you send photos of you on outdoor adventures? It can be you on a solo adventure or with family/friends/kids/etc. Please send 1 to 5 jpeg photos to info@thegemtheater.com by 5pm on Friday, May 9th, and we'll include them in our social hour slideshow. Thank you! We appreciate Suzanne and Hannah sharing this one!
