About Us

Carter's offers great cross-country skiing for skiers of all skill levels -- beginners to experts. We carry Top Brand Name ski equipment at competitive prices.

The 55km trail system that was widened last year stretches from the banks of the Androscoggin River up to Farwell Mountain with views of the Presidentials. We offer 33km of skate trails and tracked terrain, using high quality Nordic grooming equipment. Tucked in the valley of Grafton Notch, our snowfall is always plentiful and dependable. Apres ski -- relax by our cozy firepplace or outdoor firepit. Enjoy gourmet food from our Wild River KItchen Food Truck.

Our family-run ski shop and center offers individuals and families a wonderfully relaxing experience. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We sell skate, classic, waxless touring, and back country skis and snowshoes. We also rent touring, light backcountry and skate skis, snowshoes, and fat bikes. Please give us a call to talk to us about current FAT BIKING conditions.

Skiers are also provided with comfortable spaces to rest and warm up and hot beverages, soup, or chili for purchase after their outdoor adventures. Wild River Kitchen Food Truck is OPEN Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 9am to 4pm. Longer for special events. Take a look at our website FMI.
