$5000 Business Grants still available for micro-enterprises
The Maine Department of Economic & Community Development (DECD) in partnership with the SBDC will provide grants of up to $5,000 for businesses with five or fewer employees, with an owner whose income is in the low to moderate range as defined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The second round of funding to this program is now available and can be accessed by individuals across the state who meet eligibility criteria.

Main Street Grant Program Offers Grants Up to $15,000
The HartBeat of Main Street Grant Program will fund solutions that help small business owners respond and adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic, and also help to revitalize and strengthen older and historic downtown commercial districts. Grants of $5,000 to $15,000 will be awarded on a competitive and first-come, first-served basis. A minimum of 50 percent of grants will benefit diverse-owned businesses, as defined by the Small Business Administration as minority, woman, veteran, disabled, and/or LGBTQ-owned.

$1000 mini-grants for marketing available to businesses in Oxford County
New Ventures Maine (NVME)’s marketing mini-grant program aims to strengthen access to markets for micro-businesses by supporting the development of marketing tools, materials, and activities. Under the program NVME awards cash mini-grants (up to $1,000 per region) to microenterprises for marketing projects through a competitive application process.
